Double Monkey Wrench

$ 125.00

Double Monkey Wrench was a pattern seen during the Civil War era and used as an important signal for slaves. When they saw this block, they knew to gather tools for a journey ahead; using wagons for an escape attempt to the north. A monkey wrench was a common tool on the early plantations and used to repair wagons. This block came to represent freedom for many.
